Lauren Morelli & Samira Wiley

“Orange Is the New Black” not only brought fresh stories to the screen but also sparked a romance that blossomed into something special. Lauren Morelli, a writer for the show, met Samira Wiley on set, where Wiley played the character Poussey Washington. The two have been inseparable ever since.

They got engaged in October 2016 and married a year later. Morelli was previously married to a man but realized she was gay while working on the show. She eventually divorced and has embraced her true self since then.
