Jane Wagner & Lily Tomlin
Lily Tomlin emerged as a stand-up comedian in the 1960s and quickly made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. She later earned numerous awards for her work on television, film, and Broadway, becoming a beloved figure in the LGBTQ community. A significant event in Tomlin’s life occurred in 1971, which she fondly recalls.
That year, she met writer Jane Wagner when Tomlin invited her to collaborate on an LP record album titled And That’s The Truth. From that point on, they have been partners, although they did not make any formal coming-out announcements. They eventually married in December 2013.
