Matt Damon began his acting journey in high school, performing in several of his school’s theater productions. It was also at that point he became friends with his schoolmate-turned-colleague Ben Affleck. A few years later, the two wrote and starred in the now-widely-beloved film Good Will Hunting, which won a Best Screenplay Award from the Oscars and the Golden Globes.

Since then, Damon has had the chance to star in big-name projects such as the Ocean’s trilogy, Ford v Ferrari, the Bourne films, The Martian, and Behind the Candelabra. Besides landing an acting credit for movies, the Ocean’s actor also has quite an impressive sense of humor. In fact, he is often known for his antics with talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. Along with becoming one of Hollywood’s most sought-after actors, Damon is also quite a vocal advocate.
