Robert Downey Jr. is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. He was a child star back in the ’70s who would eventually rise to a certain degree of popularity in the ’90s. In 2008, he landed the role of comic book superhero, Iron Man, in one of the most successful movie franchises in history. One piece of interesting trivia is that he based his Tony Stark Character on both Howard Hughes and Elon Musk, two of the world’s most interesting billionaire playboys.

He is estimated to have a net worth of $300 million as of 2021. Like some of the big names in Hollywood, Downey is a huge environmentalist. And one of the ways he has shown support for the cause was by launching FootPrint Coalition Ventures. It is a series of VC funds that help companies that focus on developing solutions to environmental issues. Moreover, at least 10% of initial funding was straight out of Downey’s pockets.
