Linkin Park | $330 Million
Earlier music of the rock band Linkin Park spanned a fusion of hip hop and heavy metal and later transitioned into more electronica and pop-influenced music. Founded back in 1996, the band rose to international prominence with their debut album, Hybrid Theory, which was labeled diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America. The album’s singles Crawling, One Step Closer, and In the End charted highly on the Mainstream Rock chart, thanks to the heavy airplay on MTV.
Linkin Park has also made entrepreneurial investments, pouring in money in companies even while they tour. According to the band, they have the same approach to investing as they do to music. They have their own investing fund called Machine Shop Ventures, which has money in the ride-sharing service Lyft and in Robinhood, the stock-trading application that was recently valued at $1.3 billion. This, in part, has raised the band’s net worth to $330 million.
