Sammy Hagar | $150 Million
Known as The Red Rocker, Sammy Hagar came to prominence in the ‘70s with the hard rock band Montrose. Later on, he launched a successful solo career and released a hit single in 1984, I Can’t Drive 55. Hagar then enjoyed a commercial success when he replaced David Lee Roth as the frontman of Van Halen back in 1985 but eventually left the group in 1996. In 2003, he returned to the band and stayed only for two years until 2005. Two years later, Hagar was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Van Halen.
As a businessman, Hagar poured investments in his restaurant chains and the rum brand Sammy’s Beach Bar, as well as the tequila brand Cabo Wabo, which he sold for $91 million. Earlier in his career, he also bought a mountain bike store and then founded another one called Sausalito Cyclery in 1990, which was rated the number one independent bike store in California. All his business endeavors throughout the years have increased his net worth to $150 million.
