Compared with his contemporary boxers, Mike Tyson is relatively short. However, for his lack of height, Tyson compensates with his heavy punches. As a child, he had several bouts of uncanny behavior and was drawn to violence in most situations; this perhaps had contributed greatly towards his proclivity to boxing. Known for claiming his territory in the ring and for being immensely intimidating, Tyson punched his way to the top with the help of Cus D’Amato and Rooney. Tyson was known to finish his opponents with a single blow which earned him the nicknames “Iron Mike” and “the baddest man on the planet.” He is also known to have bitten off the ear of his opponent, Evander Holyfield.
