Bono | $700 million
U2 lead vocalist Bono is a known venture capitalist, singer, and businessman. He established himself early on as a frontman for the band and started showing his very expressive musical style. During the early years of the band, Bono gave contributions to the group’s spiritual and rebellious vibe, which was inspired by his personal experience. Given his excellent performance in music, Bono has received a staggering 22 Grammy Awards.
While selling records can be a very profitable business, Bono did not make all of his money from singing alone. Some of his net worth is from making good money management decisions, such as buying shares from Facebook in 2009, when the social media platform was relatively unknown. With his 2.3% share from a company that was a mere $86-million worth, that eventually grew to be a $1.4 billion enterprise, and Bono certainly earned his keep. Many of his financial decisions are course through his private equity firm, Elevation Partners.
