Ranked as the topmost influential woman in the world during certain years, Oprah has certainly made her way to the top of the food chain. She was born into poverty, but that never stopped her from achieving all her dreams. Now she is regarded as the Queen of All Media and is, for a time, the only Black billionaire.

At one point, we knew that Oprah was going to take over the world. She is, after all, a media mogul with billions of dollars to her name. Over the many years of making money, she has made investments in tons of companies. One smart move, however, was when she dropped $43 million in WeightWatchers back in 2015. When the company’s value appreciated nine times from $7 to $101, her money also made that significant jump. Given her humble beginnings, Oprah has not forgotten to give back to the community through her philanthropic works.
