Jay-Z | $1.4 billion

The better half of Beyoncé, Jay-Z, born Shawn Corey Carter, is an American rapper, media proprietor, and businessman. He is given credit for propelling major artists to fame. Some of the celebrities he propped up through her Def Jam Recordings were Rick Rosee, Kanye West, Rihanna, and J. Cole. He has always been business-minded, having founded his own record label Roc-A-Fella Records back in 1995, even when he was deemed too young.

If Beyoncé is into making risky financial decisions to make more money, Jay-Z is equally the same. Of course, all of these are calculated moves as he would not become the first hip-hop billionaire through a mix of business ventures if he wasn’t careful. He launched a champagne business, Armand de Brignac, and this has grown steadily to be worth more than $300 million. His most impressive move, however, was when he bought Uber stock for $2 million, which is now worth about $70 million.
