Jeffrey Michael Jordan | Michael Jordan’s Son | Former Basketball Player
Jeffrey Michael Jordan is a former basketball player for the University of Illinois and the University of Central Florida. He is the eldest son of retired Hall of Fame basketball player Michael Jordan. Before retiring in 1993, he was one of the highest-paid and undoubtedly one of the most well-known athletes in the history of organized sports. The Chicago Bulls’ extremely competitive guard dominated the National Basketball Association (NBA) for nearly a decade, most notably during the Bulls’ three consecutive NBA championship years in 1991- 1993.
The Jordan family name is undoubtedly recognizable even among those who have never seen a single game of professional basketball. Commercial endorsements and investments of Nike’s Air Jordan sneakers, Wheaties cereal, and McDonald’s hamburgers have made the father-son tandem a fortune. In fact, the Jordan patriarch’s innate charms and exceptional basketball abilities have earned him an estimated $35 million in annual sales. Michael is the first super-athlete of the satellite era to profit on a large scale from a global audience for his talents and goods, as David Halberstam put it in Sports Illustrated. While Jeffrey remains to be the more reserved basketball superstar in terms of his personal affairs, his credentials and exceptional skills on the court are enough to speak for themselves.
