Alexandra Hoffman is the daughter of the American author, motivational speaker, and television personality Holly Hoffman. Her mother is best known for competing in Survivor: Nicaragua. In 2006, Alexandra enrolled at the South Dakota State University, where she holds a number of competitive swimming records. Later in the same year, she won her first title when she reigned as Miss South Dakota Teen USA. In 2008, her sister Elizabeth won the Miss South Dakota Teen USA title, making the Hoffmans the second sister pairing in four years to win the Miss South Dakota Teen USA title. A week later, after her sister was crowned, she won Miss SDSU, a local preliminary title for Miss South Dakota. She became the first Miss South Dakota Teen USA to win a Miss America state title and the first of the Miss Teen USA 2006 delegates to win a second major pageant title in the Miss America pageant series. In 2009, she competed in the Miss America pageant, where she made the top 15.

To her credit, Hoffman is considered to be one of the famous people on the Pageant Contestant list. Although she is best known as a beauty queen, she is currently a traffic reporter for KETV in Omaha, Nebraska.
