René-Charles Angélil | Celine Dion’s Son | Rapper

René-Charles Angélil, the 20-year-old son of Canadian pop icon Céline Dion, is pursuing a career in music, following in his mother’s footsteps. As a kid, Rene-Charles was the complete opposite and was more concerned with his education than with making it big in Hollywood. He’s certainly not worried about student loans.

Rene decided at the age of 17 that he wanted to follow in his mother’s footsteps and pursue a career in music. He does not seem to be a rapper at all, but he is. Have you heard of Big Tip, the rapper? That’s his stage name, and Angélil first made his debut in 2018 when he released a couple of tracks on SoundCloud, both of which were recorded in his home studio. This studio is in the garage of his family’s Las Vegas house. Rene initially kept his mother in the dark about his first two rap albums, telling her only when they reached No. 1 and No. 2 on the Canadian SoundCloud R&B charts. Despite the fact that Angélil’s music is very different from his mother’s pop ballads, Dion has publicly shared his support for him, writing on Twitter and Instagram this week: “I’m so proud of my son. My love for him is so strong, and it touches me deeply that one of his passions is also one of mine. TVEC. – Mom xx.” Aww!
