Elijah Blue Allman | Cher’s Son | Musician
Elijah Blue Allman, better known by his stage name P. Exeter Blue, is a musician and the son of pop icon Cher. He is the only one of Cher’s children who followed in their mother’s footsteps and pursued a career in music. Aside from his mother’s notoriety, he has worked hard to establish himself in the American music industry. He was introduced to music at a young age by his parents, who were both musicians, and by having friends who were also into music. His friends usually come around their family home when he was a child. Kiss bassist Gene Simmons gave him his first instrument, and at the age of 13, he went on tour with Cher as a guitarist. He also appears in the music video for her song If I Could Turn Back Time as a guitarist.
Elijah was the lead singer and guitarist for the rock band Deadsy, which featured Alec Püre on drums, Dr. Nner on synthesizer, Carlton Megalodon on Ztar, and Jens Funke on bass before going on hiatus in April 2007. Their first album came out in 2002, entitled Commencement, which was followed by Phantasmagore, released on August 22, 2006. It seems the 1955 film This Island Earth strongly inspired many of the themes used by Elijah in Deadsy. Aside from his band, he collaborated with Thirty Seconds to Mars on their self-titled debut album. He also contributed guest vocals to songs by Orgy, Coal Chamber, and Sugar Ray. With a successful career in the music industry, he must have an impressive credit score!
