Samuel Ryan Springsteen is a New Jersey-based American firefighter. As their 26-year-old son Sam was invested into Jersey City’s Fire Department, Bruce Springsteen and wife Patti Scialfa stood proudly by. Bruce Springsteen has three children with his wife, Patti Scialfa. He is the youngest of the three.

Sam worked as a volunteer firefighter with the Monmouth County Fire Department in his parents’ hometown of Colts Neck before joining the Jersey City Fire Department. He also completed the Monmouth County Fire Academy in 2014 without worrying about student loans. According to CBS News, Sam took a civil service exam in 2017. At City Hall, Sam Springsteen and 14 other new officers sworn in, bringing the total number of firefighters on the Jersey City Fire Department to an all-time high of 666. As Bruce and Patti watched Sam embrace his duties as a firefighter for the town of Jersey City, they had front-row seats.
