Mathew Trebek is the son of the renowned Jeopardy game show host, Alex Trebek. Currently, he is a successful bartender and restaurateur. The late game show host used to bring his kids to the program and made them participate once in a while. This made young Matthew appreciate his dad’s love for the craft more.

Despite his early Hollywood exposure, Matthew made his own path while growing up. Thankfully, his father allowed him to figure things out by himself. Matthew became very interested in bartending, which immediately inspired him to learn the craft by working as a bartender while attending university. Instead of just asking for help from his father and making personal loans, this celebrity child used his own resources to achieve his goals of becoming a restaurant owner. Indeed, Matthew’s hard work paid off, and he later put up his own Mexican street food restaurant called Oso in 2015 and a cocktail lounge named Lucille’s in 2019.
