When Katherine Heigl went to the 2010 ShoWest Awards, she probably expected to walk away with an award and an unscathed dignity. Unfortunately, her bright red dress had other plans. Just when the actress walked on stage to accept the Female Star of the Year award, the straps of her mid-length dress suddenly came loose. Good thing she caught it right on time and avoided getting exposed in front of hundreds of people. Katherine carried on with a smile, and the rest was history. The situation could’ve easily turned disastrous if not for Katherine’s professionalism, so she certainly deserves credit for being calm and collected.

We all know that Lindsay Lohan is famous for being Hollywood’s favorite headline-maker during the late 2000s. How and why she made headlines always vary, but on September 7, 2008, she became a hot topic after suffering a wardrobe malfunction at the MTV Awards. The actress/singer was walking down the red carpet in her purple mini dress when a slight breeze decided to crash her shoot and blow her skirt right up. Now, Lindsay will have to live with the fact that a photograph of her unfortunate wardrobe malfunction will forever be available on the internet. We can only imagine the degree of embarrassment Lindsay must’ve felt.

We all know that designer gowns don’t come cheap, so given the price that people have to pay for them, they better be worth the investment. Unfortunately, designer price tags don’t always equate to fine craftsmanship, and Elizabeth Banks learned that the hard way at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival. As you can see from the photo, the actress’s silver gown had suffered a zipper malfunction after parts of it busted open, revealing a small portion of her back. Luckily, she handled it like a champ and walked away with nothing but a learning experience.

The actress casually brushed off the incident and carried on with her schedule. The actress might have felt some degree of shyness after that, but we’re sure it’s no big deal.

Walk the red carpet barefoot. If you come to think of it, the situation wasn’t all that embarrassing, thanks to Cameron’s quick wits and humor. We sure hope, though, that she uses some investment money to buy herself an extra pair of heels just in case things like this happen again.
