Initially, the two revealed that they planned to tie the knot in an intimate ceremony in France by the summer of 2019. The two did follow through with plans, but what people did not expect was the couple’s spontaneous Vegas civil wedding that took place shortly after the 2019 BBMAS. The event quickly became viral and earned a massive degree of attention. The whole event was even well-documented, with Diplo broadcasting the entire thing via Instagram live. It was, for sure, one for the books!
ASHTON KUTCHER AND MILA KUNIS
That 70’s Show sweethearts Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis spent a considerable amount of time away from each other after spending the majority of their teenage years together. They even married different people at some point in their lives. However, the two reconnected with each other in 2012 and surprised everyone when they decided to tie the knot in 2015. The ceremony was a small and intimate one held in Oak Glen, California. The couple also purchased their wedding bands from Etsy for only $109 just to keep everything simple and modest. But no matter how grand or how intimate a wedding is, we’re sure that both Mila and Ashton made the right investments for their special day.
AMANDA SEYFRIED AND THOMAS SADOWSKI
Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadowski met each other on the set of their film The Last World. Shortly after they began dating in 2017, the couple decided to drop everything and elope to the countryside with no one but Amanda’s adorable dog and their wedding officiant. “It was beautiful,” Thomas said when asked how the spontaneous wedding went. We can only imagine the charm and the beauty of it all. It’s like a scene from a movie came to life. We’re glad that they got to spend their special day away from the prying eyes of Hollywood, and we also give them credit for their spontaneity.
PRINCESS BEATRICE OF YORK AND EDO MAPELLI MOZZI
The global pandemic may have halted a lot of things, but it certainly did not stop Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice of York and Edo Mapelli Mozzi from tying the royal knot. Their engagement may not have been a secret, but given the uncertainty of the year 2020, the two decided to postpone their wedding until everything was safe enough to resume. That was until they shocked the Western world with the announcement of their small and quiet wedding held last July 2020. According to Buckingham Palace, only 20 of the couple’s closest friends and family were in attendance at the Royal Chapel of All Saints. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth was, of course, in attendance together with Prince Philip of Edinburgh. It might have been small compared to other royal weddings we’ve seen in the past, but we’re sure it was worth the investment.
ED SHEERAN AND CHERRY SEABORN
English singer Ed Sheeran is known for not divulging too much information about his private life. However, given the massive degree of his fame, keeping everything under wraps has proven to be quite challenging for the singer. Thankfully though, he and his long-time girlfriend were able to keep the event of their union quiet. Not only did they managed to tie the knot in secret in 2018, but the two also welcomed their baby girl last September 2020 without the rest of the world knowing about it. We can only imagine the degree of happiness these two are feeling.

Back in 2014, 500 Days of Summer star Joseph Gordon-Levitt shocked his fans when he announced that he got married to Fellow Robotics CEO and co-founder, Tasha McCauley. The ceremony was rather intimate, with only a few of their loved ones gathered in their California home. When asked why he chose to keep his romantic life away from everyone’s attention, the actor said, “The girl that I’m with, she really doesn’t want to be a part of that.” It’s incredibly sweet if you ask us, and credits to Gordon for keeping his lady away from the harsh environment of Hollywood media coverage.
